R.I.P. DAVID ALISTER CHITTY 1938 - 2022
It is with great sadness that I announce the death of David Alister Chitty on Tue 13th September 2022 following a short battle with pancreatic cancer. David was in good spirits and thankfully didn’t suffer for long but will be sorely missed by his many friends, family and loved ones.
David’s legacy will continue in the form of his artworks which are due to be exhibited internationally, his screenplays which we are confident will be brought to the screen, the second edition of his 80s book The Butterflies of Thantos, available now, which he was thrilled to see a proof copy of just prior to his passing and four completed projects that will be published over the next couple of years, namely his magnum opus The Pyramid of Impossible Dreams, two epic poems The Magical Child and Seventeen and a children’s poetry book Night Songs of the Wild Girls. In addition I am currently gathering together material to write a biography covering David’s long and colourful life.
